Rohit Sharma completes 20,000 runs in international cricket, joins the club of Sachin and Virat

Sports: Rohit Sharma achieved an important record in the third and final match of the ODI series being played between India and South Africa in Visakhapatnam. The Indian team got off to a good start while chasing the target with Rohit Sharma leading the way with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Together, both of them performed brilliantly against the South African bowlers. When Rohit completed 27 runs of his innings, he entered an exclusive club of Indian cricket.

Rohit Sharma has completed his 20,000 runs in international cricket. With this achievement he has become the fourth Indian batsman to achieve this milestone. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli had also established this record, due to which Rohit added a historical record to his name.

Rohit’s excellent performance in all three formats

Rohit Sharma has shown excellent performance in all three formats of international cricket. He has scored 4301 runs in Test matches, 4231 runs in T-20 International and more than 11,480 runs in ODI format. His total runs in all these formats together cross the 20,000 mark.

With this record, Rohit Sharma has now become the 14th player to score 20,000 runs in world cricket. He recorded this achievement in his 538th innings. Apart from this, Rohit has overtaken former South African player AB de Villiers to reach 13th position in the list of highest run-scorers in international cricket.
