Land for job scam: The case of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, Rashtriya Janata Dal MP and their daughter Misa Bharti will be heard again in New Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday (March 29). Earlier on March 15, the court had granted bail to the accused on a surety of Rs 10 lakh.

Earlier on March 6, the CBI team interrogated Rabri Devi at Lalu’s residence in Patna. After which, on March 10, ED raided the house of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family and relatives in the case of land scam in lieu of railway job. ED raids 24 lands in job scam case. The ED had tweeted that in the raid, cash worth one crore rupees, gold ornaments weighing more than one and a half kg, 540 grams of gold, US dollar and many other items have been recovered.

What is the matter?- Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav is accused of taking land from people in exchange for jobs in the Railways between 2004 and 2009, when he was the Railway Minister. The CBI had registered a case against Lalu Yadav regarding this. The CBI had filed a charge sheet in the case last year, claiming that the appointments were made illegally in violation of railways’ procedure.

According to the information, Lalu Yadav executed this scam along with his wife Rabri, daughter Misa and railway officials. Due to which a case has been registered against all of them. The CBI had registered a case against Lalu Yadav on May 18 last year.
