Sanju appeared in the match against Samson Services wearing a jersey with a different name. Sammy was written on the back of his jersey. Sanju Samson usually plays with the name Sanju but he has now changed his name. It is possible that he did this only for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches. However, it is also possible that he may be seen playing under this name in IPL also.

Samson’s blast
Talking about the match, Sanju Samson led Kerala to victory by 3 wickets. Batting first, the Services team scored 149 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Kerala won in 18.1 overs. Sanju Samson came to the opening and played an inning of 75 runs in 45 balls. Apart from him, no other batsman could do much better but this innings of Samson was enough to give victory to Kerala. Kerala bowler Akhil Scaria showed his strength by taking 5 wickets for 30 runs.
Now Sanju Samson’s next mission will be to strengthen the team of Rajasthan Royals. IPL 2025 auction is on 23rd and 24th November and obviously a strategy would have been made with Samson to strengthen the team as he is the captain of the team. Samson will also have his eyes on this auction.
