Sara Ali Khan is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. A member of the Pataudi family, she is the daughter of actors Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan and the paternal granddaughter of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore.
It was only a week ago that filmmaker Shoojit Sircar announced his next project with actor Vicky Kaushal. The film, a period drama, is based on the life of freedom fighter Udham Singh. After proving his mettle with films like Sanju, Manmarziyaan and Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky has become Bollywood’s new blue-eyed boy.
And now reports are rife that Sara Ali Khan was approached to play the leading lady in the film. With only two films to her credit, Sara has already become everyone’s darling. If she proved her acting mettle in Kedarnath, her second film Simmba catapulted her to the league of Rs 200-crore club heroine.
Now according to a report in a leading daily, the makers of Udham Singh were keen to rope in Sara for the film. But the actress has apparently declined the offer. The report suggests that Sara is looking for meaty roles, and felt that the film wouldn’t give her enough exposure as an actor. That’s the reason she politely turned down the offer.
