Punjab News: Gurpreet Kaur, sister of young farmer Shubhakaran Singh, who was killed on the Haryana border during the farmers' agitation this year to guarantee the minimum support price for crops, has joined the Punjab Police. She will start going for duty from tomorrow i.e. 12th July. Punjab government has appointed him in the police department. According to the information, all his medical procedures have been completed.
Farmers of Punjab have been fighting for the minimum support price for their crops since February. Farmer Shubhakaran died on 21 February 2024 at Khanauri border. Farmers raised loud slogans on the death of Shubhakaran Singh. After this, the Punjab government announced a check of Rs 1 crore to the farmer's family and a government job to his sister. The Punjab government has recently fulfilled both these promises.
