Skoda Kushaq Facelift and New Renault Duster launched in January 2026 — Competition Is Expected in the Suv Segment
The Indian SUV market has always been full of excitement, but the beginning of 2026 will take this excitement to a whole new level. This is due to the arrival of new variants of two highly popular SUVs—the Skoda Kushaq Facelift and the third-generation Renault Duster.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift
Skoda Kushaq has always been known for its build quality and driving dynamics. Now, the company is set to launch a new facelifted version in January 2026, featuring noticeable changes to both the design and interior.
The new Kushaq facelift will feature revised headlamps, a larger fog lamp housing, a new front grille, and a connected LED DRL setup, giving it a more modern and aggressive look. The rear profile is also expected to feature slimmer taillights and an LED connecting bar. New alloy wheels give the SUV a fresh identity, providing it with an even more premium presence on the road.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Interior
The interior will also undergo significant changes, and the most important addition will be a panoramic sunroof, which is not available in the current model. In addition, new comfort and convenience features will be added to the cabin, making the overall experience feel even more luxurious. The Kushaq facelift will now come with Level 2 ADAS technology, which will significantly improve safety.
Engine Options
Skoda has not made any changes to the engine lineup, and that is also its biggest strength. Two turbocharged petrol engines will be available in Kushaq facelift. 1.0L TSI engine with 115 hp and 1.5L TSI engine with 150 hp. This is the same powertrain setup that made Kushaq special for its driving feel and performance.
New Renault Duster
Renault Duster is one of the SUVs in the Indian market that gave new meaning of ruggedness and capability. Now its third generation is scheduled to launch on 26 January 2026 and has been made quite modern.
The new Duster will be produced in Renault’s Chennai-based facility. It is based on the CMF-B platform that supports both ICE and hybrid powertrains. This clearly shows that Renault is offering Duster by making it future-ready.

Features
Talking about features, new Duster will have premium features like a large central infotainment system, digital driver display, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, automatic AC and powered driver seat. Apart from this, it will also have Level 2 ADAS, which will improve both safety and convenience.

Powerful Engine Options
Renault Duster has always been known for its punchy engines, and the new 2026 Duster is no exception. It will feature a 1.3L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 156 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque.
Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. Reports also suggest that Renault might offer a 1.0L turbo petrol engine in the lower variants, keeping the SUV’s pricing aggressive and competitive.
