With the arrival of 19,406 new cases of Covid-19 in India in a day, the total number of infection cases in the country has increased to 4,41,26,994, while the number of patients under treatment has come down from 1,35,364 to 1,34,793.

According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry till 8 am on Saturday, the death toll in India has increased to 5,26,649 due to the loss of 49 more patients due to Covid-19. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment is 0.31 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national rate of recovery from Covid-19 is 98.50 percent.

According to the data, a decrease of 571 has been registered in the number of patients under treatment of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the daily rate of infection is 4.96 percent, while the weekly rate has been recorded at 4.63 percent.

According to the data, the number of people who have recovered from this infection in the country has increased to 4,34,65,552, while the death rate is 1.19 percent. At the same time, more than 205.92 crore doses have been given so far under the nationwide anti-covid-19 vaccination campaign.

Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

On 19 December 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it had crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the cases of infection had crossed four crores.
