Birmingham. Indian boxer Neetu has made it to the final of the women’s 48 kg weight category at the Commonwealth Games 2022. She defeated Priyanka Dhillon of Canada 5-0 in the semi-final match in two rounds.

The match lasted just one minute and thirty seconds. Such was Neetu’s boxing skills that the match could not progress beyond the second round and she won it via referee stoppage.

Neetu performed extremely well in these two rounds. With Neetu’s victory, India was assured of at least one silver medal. The final will be played on Sunday at 3:00 PM.

In boxing, apart from Neetu, Amit Panghal defeated Patrick Chinayamba of Zambia in the men’s 48kg-51kg (flyweight) category to enter the final and ensured at least a silver medal.
