The Indian cricket team will take to the field with the intention of creating history by winning the final of the ICC World Test Championship starting on Friday. Although New Zealand had cleaned up Team India in the two-match Test series at home under the World Test Championship itself, but this time the situation will be different, as the final match is being played at a neutral venue.
The final match of the ICC World Test Championship is to be played in Southampton, England. Here the pitch is helpful for the spinners. In such a situation, Team India is looking heavy in the final, because it has world-class spinners in Ashwin and Jadeja. At the same time, after defeating England in the two-match Test series at home, New Zealand’s team has become the world’s number one team in Test cricket, and now they would like to create history by winning the title of Test Championship.

India’s middle order is very strong

Considering the current form of Shubman Gill and his daring innings of 91 runs in the Gabba Test against Australia, it is believed that he will open the innings in the final match along with Rohit Sharma. However, India’s biggest strength in this match against New Zealand will be its middle order. Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane are set to play at number three, four and five. All three have the ability to single-handedly win the team.

As a wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant can be the first choice of captain Kohli. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin can be part of the team in this match. Ashwin has also done exceptionally well with the batting in the last few Tests. In such a situation, both of them can also contribute significantly to the batting in the lower order. The fast bowling department, the trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Siraj. However, Ishant Sharma will also have a chance in place of Siraj.

New Zealand can go with five bowlers

Captain Kane Williamson can give a place to five specialist bowlers in his playing XI. Ejaz Patel will handle the spin department. On the other hand, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner and Trent Boult will be part of the fast bowling department.

Apart from this, Dwayne Conway and Tom Latham will open in the final match. Captain Kane Williamson will play at number three.  Ross Taylor at number four and Henry Nicholls will play at number five. After this, the experienced BJ Watling will play as a wicketkeeper.
