Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has given a big reaction to Indian pacer Umran Malik. He has said that he will be very happy if Umran breaks the world record for his fastest ball.

Akhtar said, “I would like to see him give a long career. A few days ago someone was congratulating me for bowling the fastest ball in cricket history, it has been 20 years since I made that record by bowling that ball. Since then no one has been able to break it.

He further said, “But I said, there must be someone who will break this record. I will be very happy if Joe Umran breaks this record of mine, but he has to take care not to get injured during this time, I want him to prolong his career without injury.

Umran is performing brilliantly in the current season of IPL. He has taken 15 wickets in 11 matches so far. Not only this, the right-arm fast bowler also bowled the fastest ball in IPL history this season. He bowled the ball at a speed of 157 kmph. Even this right-handed pacer has impressed everyone with his fast pace.

Let us tell you that Shoaib Akhtar bowled the fastest ball in cricket history against England in a match of 2003 World Cup. The speed of this ball was 161.3 kilometers per hour.
