Spotify Down: On Sunday, thousands of users of the world's popular audio streaming platform Spotify faced service outage. According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, the problem was particularly prominent in the United States, where about 40,602 Spotify users were affected.
DownDetector tracks outages based on user reports and many other sources. The report showed that Spotify's services were disrupted for several hours. Due to this, users could not enjoy their favorite songs and podcasts, due to which many people were seen sharing their problems and frustrations on the social media platform X.
Users on X posted memes and jokes along with complaints, causing laughter on the social media platform. Some also reported that they were unable to log in, while others said that songs and podcasts suddenly stopped playing.

The issue comes as Spotify is expected to have approximately 246 million paying subscribers by the second quarter of 2024, making it one of the largest audio streaming platforms in the world. The outage is also a reminder of the challenges streaming services face, with technical glitches sometimes affecting large numbers of users.
