Tata Motors earlier offered a 4WD system in the Hexa, but this option was removed after the body-on-frame model was discontinued in 2020. 30% customers chose AWD variant, 10% more than expected
According to media reports, Tata Motors revealed that about 30% of customers purchasing Harrier.ev have chosen the AWD configuration. This figure is 10% more than the company’s expectations, considering that Tata is now preparing new lower priced AWD variants so that more customers can take advantage of this feature.
Powerful motor setup: 390 hp power and 504 Nm torque
Tata Harrier.ev AWD has a setup of induction motor at the front and permanent magnet synchronous motor at the rear. The main source of power delivery in this is the rear motor.
- Front Motor: 116 kW (156 hp) / 164 Nm
- Rear Motor: 175 kW (235 hp) / 304 Nm
- Rear motor in boost mode: Torque increases to 340 Nm
Overall, this setup produces 291 kW (390 hp) of power and 504 Nm of torque, making this SUV one of the most powerful electric models in the segment.
Price and range: Up to 622 km of driving range in the top variant
Currently, Harrier.ev AWD is available only in the top-end Empowered trim. It has a 75 kWh extended-range LFP battery pack.
