The Supreme Court has granted bail to former Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain for 6 weeks. He has got interim relief from the court till 11th July. He will have to appear in court again on June 10. During the hearing, the court said that considering Jain’s health, he should be released. During this he will not go out of Delhi.
The Supreme Court said that we allow Satyendar Jain to be treated in a private hospital. Jain will not influence any witness. He will not go out of Delhi without the permission of the court. The documents of whatever treatment is being done during the bail should be presented before the court.
Earlier on May 18, the Supreme Court had issued a notice to the ED seeking its reply. Jain is in custody since May 31, 2022. He appealed to the Supreme Court after his bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on 6 April.
Yesterday morning, AAP leader Satyendar Jain slipped and fell in the washroom of Tihar Jail. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital in the morning. When his condition deteriorated around 12 noon, he was shifted to Lok Narayan Jai Prakash Hospital and kept on oxygen support.
This was the third time in a week that Jain had been brought to the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Then he had problems with the spine.
