Suresh Wadkar has finally addressed rumours surrounding his relationship with Madhuri Dixit.
In an exclusive interview with The Lallantop, the singer spoke at length about his bond with the highly acclaimed actress as he took a trip down memory lane.
Responding to speculation about turning down the Devdas star’s proposal at the time, he told the outlet, “Oh God, that Madhuri rumour! One day Madhuri will pull out even the few natural hairs I have left. She is a very good friend and colleague from the industry. I like her a lot.”
In addition, he revealed that Archana Puran Singh was the first to playfully bring up the rumour on television.
He added, “This mischief is Archana Puran Singh’s doing. She is like a sister to me and loves me dearly. I don’t know where she heard it from, but she mentioned it on television. Since then, I get asked this question in every interview.”
Wadkar dismissed all such rumours about rejecting Dixit, saying he had already married the love of his life, Padma, by the time this speculation made headlines.
For the unversed, the Indian playback singer tied the knot in 1988, while Madhuri married Dr Shriram Madhav Nene later in 1997.
