“It is truly a privilege to work with Cricket Namibia,” Kirsten said in a statement from Cricket Namibia. Their new state-of-the-art cricket stadium is proof that they are committed to ensuring that their national teams compete with the best cricketing nations in the world. The Namibia senior men’s national team is performing well and I look forward to contributing to their preparations for the T20 World Cup in February next year.

Kirsten has been the coach of Pakistan team

Former South Africa opening batsman Kirsten started coaching after retiring in 2004 and was appointed the head coach of India in 2007. During his tenure, India won the 2011 ODI World Cup. He later worked as the head coach of South Africa and several T20 franchise league teams around the world. He also served as the head coach of Pakistan men’s team in 2024. Before the T20 World Cup 2024, Kirsten became the coach of the Pakistan team, but Pakistan’s journey stopped in the initial stage itself.
