Google has started the rollout of its new Gemini Spark AI Agent in India. This feature is currently being made available to users with Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscriptions. Gemini Spark will not just answer questions like a normal chatbot, but will also be able to complete many digital tasks on its own based on the instructions of the users.
This AI agent will continue to work in the background, even if the user’s laptop is turned off or the phone is locked. According to Google, Gemini Spark is built on the company’s secure cloud infrastructure, allowing it to work with Workspace apps like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets without any additional setup.
What is Gemini Spark AI Agent?
Gemini Spark is Google’s new AI agent, based on the Gemini 3.6 Flash model. Its aim is to go beyond the traditional question-and-answer AI experience and work according to the instructions given by the user. When a user assigns a task to Gemini Spark, it tries to complete the task without constant monitoring. For example, this could be organizing emails, preparing documents, or analyzing data.
Will work with Gmail, Docs and Sheets
Gemini Spark works directly with Google Workspace apps. Users can use it with Gmail, Google Docs and Google Sheets. Being cloud based, it can continue working even when the user’s device is offline. However, Google says that the AI agent will be completely under the control of the user.
Users will be able to decide for themselves which apps to give access to Gemini Spark. Additionally, it will also ask for permission from the user before performing important tasks like sending emails or making purchases.
How to use Gemini Spark in India?
Indian users on Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra plans can access Gemini Spark through the Gemini website or Gemini app. To use it:
- Open the Gemini website or app.
- Select Google Spark option in the left menu.
- After this, tell your task to the AI agent through text or voice.
- Users can schedule one-time tasks as well as schedule certain tasks automatically.
Keep in mind that this feature is being rolled out in a phased manner, so not all users may see this option immediately.

Gemini Spark can help with many everyday digital tasks. Users can do things like organize wedding RSVP emails, prepare answers to customer questions, create travel plans, and review monthly bills.
