Mumbai,  Ali Abbas Zafar’s much-awaited web series Tandava is now just a few days away from release, so the eagerness in the audience is at its peak. People are eagerly waiting to see it, with a strong trailer and a fantastic crew of characters.

Actor Sunil Grover will be seen in the role of Gurpal Chauhan. Gurpal is shown to be very close to Samar Pratap Singh (played by Saif Ali Khan). He is a ruthless human being, who avoids revealing his true feelings. Gurpal is more dangerous than he looks.

The biggest feature of this character is Sunil Grover himself, as he often tickles the audience with his characters. How challenging was it for him to play such a serious role? In response to this question, the actor told IANS over the phone, “I enjoyed playing this character a lot.” When I got an offer from Ali Abbas Zafar Saheb for the first time, I first thought if he was serious that I should do this role. I enjoyed reading the story, but I asked him whether you are sure that I should play this character, because my image is completely different from it. He showed his confidence in me and thus the character was talked about.

Since many projects have already been made on the subject of politics, in what ways is Tandava different from them? Talking on this, the actor further said, “Of course many films have been made on politics, but perhaps for the first time in India in such a long format. Its story will attract people, it has a lot of drama, many good performances, it has been written very well. There are many layers to the story of Tandava. There are many ups and downs. While watching this, only one thing will remain in the mind of the audience, what is going to happen next. Overall, it has been discussed very closely on the political scene. Tandava is the warp of moral-immoral things.

With this series, Sunil is going to work with Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan for the first time, how was his experience working with Saif? On this, he said, despite being such a senior artist and a rich artist, he is a very humble and well-behaved person. His attitude towards work, I found that the best thing about him. He always comes to the set with his preparations. At this stage it is not necessary for him to do all this, but he does and this is what is most inspiring to him.

Sunil is going to work on OTT platform for the first time, before that he has worked in many more mediums. In this case, how different was OTT for him and in which format did he enjoy working more? In response, he says, television, film, OTT, radio are all different fun. With Amazon Prime Video I am going to step into the field of OTT for the first time. You have plenty of time in OTT, you can tell the story well and deeply, whereas in the movies it is not so. There are many reasons for this.

He said, films have a different formula with time constraints. It becomes necessary to include songs in it, because people like to listen. The story should also be made in such a way that more people can join in a short time, but in OTT a long story can be told with pause, then in OTT the producers can present their story in a free way, While it is not possible to do so in other mediums.

This nine-episode political drama is written by Gaurav Solanki, in addition to Saif and Sunil, Dimple Kapadia, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dino Morea, Kumud Mishra, Gauhar Khan, Amaira Dastur, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, Kritika Kamra, Sara Jane Dias, Many other artists including Sandhya Mridul, Anoop Soni, Hiten Tejwani, Paresh Pahuja and Sonali Nagrani are among others.
