Teacher sexually assaults two minors in Delhi, accused absconding


New Delhi. Two minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted by a teacher at a government school in Delhi’s Dwarka. An official gave this information on Saturday. The officer said that raids have been started to nab the absconding accused. According to the police, on Thursday, an 11-year-old minor girl along with her parents came to the Dwarka South police station and gave a written complaint. The victim said in her complaint that she is a student of a government school in Dwarka and a teacher named Amit inappropriately touched her on the back and shoulder.

Dwarka DCP M Harshvardhan said that the minor girl was counseled and a case was registered against the accused under section 354A of the Indian Penal Code and 10 of the POCSO Act.

The DCP said that another similar complaint was received against the accused on Friday and on that complaint also a case has been registered under the POCSO Act. Efforts are being made to arrest the teacher.
