Jio UPI: Jio prepaid and postpaid customers now can start their UPI with Jio sims, Know how to activate 

Jio customers will now be able to pay for their recharge without remembering their recharge date or validity of the last date as the tariff plan chosen by the users will be auto-renewed on a fixed date. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Thursday said that Unified Payments Interface (UPI) Autopay is now live on the MyJio app. Jio has become the first telecom operator to adopt the e-mandate feature launched by NPCI last year.

This will enable users to set standing instructions for their different tariff schemes on the MyJio app using UPI Autopay. As per RBI's revised guidelines, customers do not need to enter UPI PIN to validate recharge transactions up to Rs 5,000. NPCI said, for UPI Autopay, users will also be able to create, revise and delete e-mandates for tariff plans as per their requirements.

RBI changes the standard for auto-debit transactions

From 1 October 2021, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) changed the standard for auto-debit transactions. Users who have set up online membership or regular payments for their insurance premiums, rent, utility bills, or systematic investment plans (SIPs), may need to re-certify their payments as a result of the new requirements. As per the recommendations of the Central Bank, customers should use Additional Factor Authentication (AFA) on all recurring payments made with their debit cards, credit cards, UPI, and prepaid payment instruments (PPIs).
