Desk. Big news has come out from the Telugu film industry, where veteran actor Rajasekhar became the victim of a serious accident. The actor, who returned to the film sets after a long gap, suffered such an injury while shooting an action scene that he had to be immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors advised immediate surgery and after the operation that lasted for about three hours, the actor’s condition is said to be stable. At present he is going through severe pain and the doctors have ordered him complete rest.
Rajasekhar, 63, was shooting for his upcoming film in Medchal area of Hyderabad. During a high-intensity action sequence, he lost his balance and fell fatally. The fall was so severe that the ankle of his right leg was fractured at several places. According to his team, he suffered a compound fracture with right ankle bimalleolar dislocation, which is considered a very serious injury. The team immediately admitted him to a nearby hospital, where doctors decided to perform surgery without delay.
Doctors performed a number of medical procedures on Rajasekhar’s leg, including open reduction, internal fixation, screw placement and plating. Special steel plates and K-wires were used to stabilize his ankle and bones. After the operation, doctors said that the injury was deep and recovery would take time. At present, the actor has been given strict instructions not to move his legs at all for at least 3 to 4 weeks.
Rajasekhar will now have to take a break again to improve his health. The film team has stopped all their shooting activities for the time being. New shooting dates will be decided after January 2026, that too will depend on the permission of the doctors. Interestingly, Rajasekhar had earlier suffered a similar serious injury during the shooting of his 1989 film Magaadu, but that time the injury was to his left leg.
