The outbreak of mysterious fever in UP’s Gorakhpur district does not seem to be decreasing. Patients are continuously reaching the OPD of the hospitals. After this, the Health Department has started searching for viral fever patients in government and private schools. Its responsibility has been entrusted to Additional CMO Dr AK Chaudhary.

He is also the nodal in-charge of infectious diseases. The health team has contacted the teachers of GN National School, Gorakhnath. Dr. Chaudhary told that the teachers of GN National School had received a call. He informed about the illness of the children. After this, a team of the department has also inspected his school. The details of sick children have been asked from them.

The school teacher told the department that the parents had informed about the ill health of some children. In such a situation, in order to break the cycle of infection, the education up to class VIII in the school has been closed till Monday. Information given by parents to the health department The health department is now getting information about sick children in schools through parents.

Many school children got sick

The number of patients of viral fever infection in the district is not taking its name. Despite heavy rains, the number of fever patients is increasing. Apart from GN National Public School, there are reports of children falling ill in a dozen schools of the metropolis. On the other hand, parents are also worried about their children. Parents have started contacting the school management regarding this.
