Google Maps Street View : Google Maps Street View is now available in India. We had seen this feature on Google Maps long ago, but then due to some reasons Google had withdrawn this feature. Perhaps Google was testing the feature, but now the feature has come again. Google had announced the Street View feature for Maps in India last year. This feature is great. Virtually takes you to any area. With the help of this feature, it seems that you are standing in the same street or market. This feature gives much better information about an area.
360 degree view is available
With the help of this feature, you can see the road at 360 degrees. The feature shows you the complete view of a place while sitting at home. It was said that Google had stopped this feature due to security. Now that Google has introduced the feature back, we expect that adequate security arrangements would have been made. India Today reports that they have successfully tested Google Maps Street View for various locations in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. The report also says that there was no 360-degree viewing option at many places. Some areas like Rohtak in Haryana were showing only still images.
How to use Street View on Google Maps?
Works in the Google Maps Street View app as well as on the Google Maps website. Furthermore, it is available on both Android and iOS.
- Open Google Maps on your browser to use on PC. now bottom left “layer” Enable Street View from the box. Select an area manually or enter a location in the search box.
- Similarly, on an Android phone or iPhone, on the right “layer” Enable Street View from the box. Select an area manually or use the search box.
