A case of goat theft has come to light in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, which has sparked discussion in the entire area. Before Bakrid, two youths were running away on a bike after stealing a goat from a relative’s house, but in their haste to escape, their bike slipped. In the accident, one young man fell into a deep well along with his goat, while another got injured on the roadside. After which the police were called to the spot.

This case is of Kaul village of Kharkhoda police station area of ​​Meerut. It is being told that village resident Babar had kept a goat tied at his house. Two youths riding a bike reached there late on Saturday night and seeing the opportunity, opened the door and ran away. As soon as Babar came to know about the theft, he raised an alarm. Hearing the sound, the people of the village also came out and started chasing the youth riding the bike.

The accused got scared as soon as they were chased.

Both the accused got scared when the villagers chased them. While running at high speed, his bike suddenly went out of control and slipped. In the accident, one youth got injured after falling on the road, while another youth along with the goat fell into a nearby deep well. Seeing the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot.

After the accident, the villagers immediately started rescue operations. With the help of ropes and local people, both the young man and the goat were safely taken out of the well. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police also reached the spot and took both the youth into custody. During interrogation, they were identified as Naeem and Danish, residents of Ghaziabad.

Accused without any action

During investigation, the police came to know that the goat owner Babar and the accused youth are relatives. Later a settlement was reached between the two parties and the complaint was withdrawn. After this the police did not take any legal action against both the accused. Now this whole matter has become a topic of discussion and joke among the people in the area.
