Outbreak of Coronavirus is increasing day by day. In the last 24 hours, only 3,57,229 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. Whereas 3,449 people have died due to corona during this time period. With this figure, Corona’s total cases in the country have so far reached 2,02,82,833. So far more than 2 lakh 22 thousand people have died in the country due to corona. In view of the increasing transition, the demand for lockdown in the country once again has started increasing rapidly.
The trade organization Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has said that the trade and economy and the people are dying, the central government should now decide what is more important.
CAIT demands 15-day national lockdown
CAT National President BC Bhartia and General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal said that these figures are not only weakening the economy of the country but are also hurting domestic trade. But amidst these unpleasant figures, the horrific figures of death from corona cannot be ignored. CAT has said that for a developing economy like India, the loss of human resources is as important as the economy and business.
Said, decision will have to be taken in time
CAIT has cautioned by pointing to the rising figures of Corona, that if the time is not controlled immediately, the country may face more difficult times in the coming time. CAT officials have also pointed out to the center that it is very important to increase medical facilities. Ensuring adequate availability of oxygen, beds and medicines in hospitals is equally important.
Opposition also demanded lockdown
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has demanded the central government to impose a complete lockdown in the country. He tweeted that the only way to deal with Corona is to impose a complete lockdown and the government should put a lockdown at the earliest.
Business lost Rs 6.25 lakh crore in April
Another aspect of Corona is that due to this, the business of the country has suffered a loss of Rs 6.25 lakh crore in the month of April alone. Central and state governments have also lost revenue of about 75 thousand crore rupees. Out of the business loss of Rs 6.25 lakh crore in April, Rs 4.25 lakh crore was the retail business.
