1. Devas-

Bad thinking of the gods can prove to be harmful for you. Ravana is the greatest example of this, he always interrupted the path of the gods. His pride was very high like the sky. That is why it is said that one should never think of himself above God, and who does so, his end is fixed at that time.

Asuras had greatly insulted the Vedas, many Asuras themselves tried to snatch the Vedas from Brahma. But the Asuras who did this, God himself punished them. That is why it is said that those who do not respect their religious scriptures, Vedas, Puranas, they get punishments.

3. Cow-

Balasura was destroyed due to disrespect of cow. He kidnapped all the cows of the gods and made them suffer. When Devraj Indra came to know about this act of Balasur, he got angry and killed Balasur. That is why it is said that those who insult the cow must suffer.

4. Guru-

Duryodhana had insulted the sage Maitreya, once he came to meet Dhritarashtra, he was highly respected in the palace. Sage Maitreya told Duryodhana to leave the path of unrighteousness and walk on the path of truth, but Duryodhana ignored his words and started laughing at him. The end of Duryodhana became angry and the sage Maitreya cursed Duryodhana to be killed in battle which proved to be true. Therefore it is said that we should never insult our gurus.

5. Insult to religion-

Although Ashwatthama was the son of Guru Dronacharya, but there was always a feeling of unrighteousness in his mind. Together with Duryodhana, he always did work related to unrighteousness, which resulted in pain and sorrow.
