UP. Three of four friends who went to bathe at Bhojpur Ganga Ghat in Kamalganj of Farrukhabad district went missing after drowning in deep water. Seeing his friends drowning, the young man started shouting. The villagers searched by jumping into the Ganges. A crowd of people from two villages gathered on the spot. There was mourning among the family members due to the incident. The police arrived and investigated. All the three bodies were recovered in about two and a half hours. The relatives took the dead body home.

Ujaiv (19), son of Irshad, a resident of Sheikhpur Rustampur village of police station area, along with his friend Zoheb Ali (15) son Shahid Ali, Ashraf (11) son Ashif and Sameer (17) son Sagir, were about to bathe in the Ganga at around 11.30 am on Tuesday morning. Went to the ghat located in Bhojpur village for this. Ujaiv, Zoheb and Ashraf jumped into the Ganges to take a bath at the ghat in front of Raja Bhoj’s fort. Sameer was taking off his clothes. That’s why Ujaiv, Zoheb and Ashraf, who were bathing in the Ganga, started drowning after going into deep water.
Seeing his companions drowning, Sameer started shouting, pleading to save them. Some villagers who reached the spot jumped into the Ganges to save them. Sameer called and informed the relatives of his colleagues. On this, the villagers of Sheikhpur and Bhojpur villages reached the ghat. On receiving the information, Bhojpur outpost in-charge Raghavendra Tiwari reached the spot and conducted the investigation. The villagers, who were searching, pulled out Ashraf and Zoheb from the Ganges at around 12:30. On this, the relatives took both of them to the Community Health Center.
Where the health worker declared both dead. Ujaiv’s body was also recovered from the Ganges during the search at around 2 pm. It was told that Ujaiv’s body was trapped in the sand inside the Ganges. The family members reached home with the bodies of all three. The relatives kept on crying after seeing the dead bodies. The relatives refused to conduct the post-mortem. In-charge Inspector Amarpal Singh said that the bodies of the three drowned friends have been recovered. The relatives have refused to conduct the post-mortem. The dead bodies were handed over to the relatives.
