New Delhi. Traveling on Yamuna Expressway is soon going to become expensive. Yamuna Authority has approved increasing the toll rates in the board meeting. The 4 percent increase in toll tax has been approved in the meeting. The new rates will be applicable from October 1. Earlier in March 2022, toll tax on Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway was increased. Last time there was an increase of 12 percent. After the implementation of the new rates, i.e. from October 1, car toll tax from Greater Noida to Agra will be Rs 295 instead of Rs 270. At the same time, the toll of buses has been increased from Rs 895 to Rs 935 and that of over-sized vehicles has been increased from Rs 1760 to Rs 1835.

Yamuna Expressway connects Delhi to Agra. The 165 km long six-lane expressway passes through Mathura and Aligarh. It has been constructed by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and the contract has been given to Jaypee Infratech Limited. With the construction of this expressway, a lot of time has been saved in the journey from Delhi to Agra.
