Mumbai : Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2023 in Parliament on Wednesday. Substantial provision was made for various sectors in this. Education, Railways, Agriculture and many other sectors were given attention. But BJP has claimed that Maharashtra has also been given a lot in this budget.

16000 crore has been allocated for railway projects in Maharashtra. This fund has increased by 10 times compared to 2014. It is also intended to complete three ambitious projects in the state namely Wardha-Yavatmal-Nanded, Nagar-Beed-Parli-Nagpur-Nagbhid through this fund.

10 ‘Vande Bharat’ train will start

Apart from this, 10 Vande Bharat trains will be started in Maharashtra in a year. Apart from this, a fund of 400 crores has been announced for Vidarbha-Marathwada irrigation. 1000 crore has been earmarked for road improvements.

1206 crore provision for Pune Metro

600 crores will be provided for the environment-friendly Pokra project. 1206 crores has been allocated for Pune Metro. Also, 246 crores will be given for the purification of Mula-Mutha river.

2000 crore for bullet train

2000 crore has been allocated for bullet train in this budget. 500 crore will be given for Mumbai Metro. 163 crores for Mumbai’s MUTP and 215 crores for green mobility.

118 crore for Nagpur Metro

Substantial provision has been made for various projects in Maharashtra. 118 crore will be given for Nagpur Metro. 224 crores will be given for the purification of Naganadi.
