UP: Four miscreants arrested for making fake mark sheets in Kanpur, used to send fake certificates to other cities through courier

Kanpur, June 9. Police in Uttar Pradesh’s industrial city Kanpur on Tuesday arrested four accused belonging to a big gang involved in making fake marksheets and degrees. The arrested persons used to prepare fake marksheets and certificates and send them to other cities through courier.

The team of DCP Central Atul Srivastava has arrested Jiyaul Hasan alias Sameer alias Atif, Nooruddin, Hasan Asif and Aamir Ahmed, residents of Hiraman Ka Purva. Their wires are connected to many other countries including UK and Canada. Earlier 10 accused were arrested. This gang was working since 2017.

To print a certificate 10 used to get thousand rupees

Police Commissioner Raghuveer Lal said that the accused used to make mark sheets with the help of quality printers and dies and stamps, which looked absolutely original. When their accounts were checked, Rs 49 lakh were found in the account of accused Sameer and Rs 40 lakh in the account of his brother Hassan. During interrogation, the accused told that they used to get Rs 10,000 for printing a certificate.

Transactions worth Rs 1 crore found

Transactions worth Rs 1 crore have been found from the account of accused Aamir. During police investigation, they were linked to accused Shailendra and Raghav Saraf, who had previously been jailed. The Police Commissioner said, ‘Our teams were working on this case for a long time. Our aim was to reach those accused who print fake marksheets. He used to get Rs 10,000 for printing a certificate.

850 found printed paper

Raghuveer Lal told that the police team has found 850 printed papers from accused Sameer. Now the network of accused Sameer is being investigated by the Commissionerate Police. The information so far has revealed that he has gone to Manchester and Saudi Arabia. Accused Sameer, Shailendra and Raghav will now be interrogated together.
