UP Governor: For better education of university students, it is necessary to have a prison experience
UP Governor: Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Saturday suggested that university students should be arranged to visit Nari Nirkeetan and Jails so that they learn the circumstances under which inmates committed crimes and should avoid them in future.
The governor said that universities should educate children about social concerns. The students going to jails and Nari Niketan should be arranged so that they can know the circumstances under which they (inmates) committed crimes and came to jail.
The Governor while addressing the 18th convocation of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University here said that, when the students get this kind of experience, they will avoid committing crime and our next generation will move forward with a healthy and strong mindset. Instructing the Vice Chancellor to conduct blood tests of all girl students, Patel said, we have to empower our daughters physically and mentally. Therefore, take all possible measures to protect them from malnutrition.
With this, he said that while the convocation is a special occasion for the university, it is also an important moment for the students who get the degree. The University confers the degree with the desire of the students that HR has created it which will now contribute positively to the progress of the nation. He said that universities should focus on skill development. It is the responsibility of educational institutions to develop special curriculum to make rural women self-reliant.
