UP Rain Alert: Rain and hail alert in UP, know when will there be relief from the scorching heat in North India?
New Delhi: Scorching heat is going on in various parts of the country including North India. The Meteorological Department has said on Sunday that there is a possibility of heat wave in North India and Central India for the next seven days. However, from May 29, there will be respite from the scorching heat in many areas and the maximum temperature will start decreasing. An alert of hail and rain has been issued in Western Uttar Pradesh on May 29 and 30, while in Eastern UP there will be such weather a day earlier. Apart from this, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, North East and adjoining East India will receive very heavy rain for the next five days.

Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature of the day remained between 43-47 degrees in Central, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern India, whereas except Northeast India, Western Himalayan region, Western South India, it remained between 40-43 degrees. Talking about Northeast India, there will be rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Assam, Meghalaya on 24th and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram on 24th and 25th May. At the same time, there is a warning of extremely heavy rain at some places in Assam and Meghalaya on May 24. At the same time, there is an alert of heavy rain at some places in Arunachal Pradesh on 24-26 May, Assam, Meghalaya on 24-29 May and in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 24, 25, 29 and 30 May. Also, very heavy rain will occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on May 24, May 25 and over Assam, Meghalaya during May 24, 27.

Talking about South India, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep during 24-28 May. Scattered to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Interior Karnataka during May 24-28. Similar conditions will prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema during 24-27 May and Telangana during 24-30 May. Thunderstorm is likely over Rayalaseema on 24 May and over North Interior Karnataka during 24-26 May. Scattered rain is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal during May 24 to 26, Kerala and Mahe from May 24-28, Lakshadweep from May 24-27, Coastal Karnataka on May 24, Interior Karnataka on May 24 and 25. Hail will occur in North Interior Karnataka on May 24.

Talking about North-West India, there is a possibility of rain, lightning and strong storm in many states. There is a possibility of scattered to moderate rain, thunder, lightning and strong winds in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh on May 24, 25 and 28-30, in Uttarakhand on May 24, 25, 29 and 30. There is a possibility of sporadic to moderate rain, thunder and lightning in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh during 24, 28-30 May. There will be strong winds along with thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir on May 24. Hail will fall in Eastern UP on 28, 29 May and in Western Uttar Pradesh on 29 and 30 May. A hail alert has been issued in Jammu and Kashmir on May 24 and in Himachal Pradesh on May 29.
