Family was returning from 13th class, car fell into pond, 4 including 2 year old innocent died; driver missing
UP News: A tragic accident took place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh late on Friday evening. On Shivli-Kalyanpur road, an eco car suddenly went out of control and fell into a roadside pond. In this accident, four people of the same family died, while four others were rescued safely and taken to the hospital. The driver of the car is still missing and the search for him is ongoing.
The family was returning after attending a Triyodashi (thirteenth) ritual in Sahayal village of Auraiya district. 60-year-old Rajkishore Agnihotri, resident of Awas Vikas Kalyanpur-3, Kanpur, had gone with his family to attend his mother-in-law’s thirteenth wedding. At around 7:40 pm, when he reached near Sanchula Mata Temple located in Bairi village on Shivli-Kalyanpur road, his car suddenly went out of control and fell straight into the pond.
As soon as the accident happened, people nearby reached the spot and informed the police. With the help of police and local people, people trapped in the car were taken out and taken to Shivli Community Health Center (CHC). There the doctors declared Rajkishore Agnihotri (60), his wife Snehlata (55), daughter-in-law Rakhi alias Himanshu Agnihotri (35) and two-year-old grandson Shiv dead.
Meanwhile, Kritika Agnihotri (30), Sudha (45), Vani (3), Kanha (4) and Sudhanshu (24) have been admitted to the hospital in injured condition, where they are undergoing treatment.
Superintendent of Police Shraddha Narendra Pandey said that four people died due to drowning. The condition of other injured is said to be stable. The car driver Rajkumar has not been found yet. He is being searched with the help of divers. There is chaos in the family after this accident. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area due to the death of four members of the same family.
