VIDEO- Kia Syros launched, booking will start from January 3 in India, know about its design and features

New Delhi. Kia has officially launched its new SUV Cyros in India, which will soon be available in the global market as well. Bookings for this SUV will begin from January 3, 2025, and deliveries are planned to begin from February 2025. This is the fifth SUV for Kia. It is being introduced as a 'new type of SUV'.

The design of Kia Syros is quite different and premium. It has an attractive look with vertical LED DRLs, chunky bumper and strong face. The Cyrus has been designed under the company's Design 2.0 philosophy, which was earlier seen in the Kia EV9. Additionally, it includes attractive design features like 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles and L-shaped LED taillights at the rear.

Powertrain and technical features

The Kia Syros will have two powertrain options—a 1.0 liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 liter diesel engine. The petrol variant will come with 118 bhp and 172 Nm torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. At the same time, the diesel variant will be available with 116 bhp and 250 Nm torque. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and other safety features are also provided in it.

The Kia Syros will compete with other sub-compact SUVs like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Skoda Kyalq. Its price is likely to start from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Syros is presented as a premium option for higher quality features and better performance.
