Connaught Place was designed by architect Robert Tor Russell in the 1920s. But, its name was changed to Rajiv Chowk in 1995 after the then Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi.

Every day people from every corner of the country come to visit Delhi, the capital of India. Connaught Place, located in the center of Delhi, is also called CP by some youngsters. There are many historical monuments, from gardens to restaurants, museums and shopping markets. It is believed that Delhi’s Connaught Place was designed by architect Robert Tor Russell in the 1920s. But, its name was changed to Rajiv Chowk in 1995 after the then Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi.
