A man in southern Dong Nai Province brought a car on top of his house’s gates for commemorative reasons, attracting the gazes of curious passersby.
Pham Anh Duc, 50, on Thursday said the car was the first car his family had owned for over 20 years, ever since they left their hometown in central Vietnam to go settle in Dong Nai.
The family already has a new car, and since the old car has not been used in years, he wanted to do something with it for commemorative purposes.
“There are no parking spots, so I decided to bring the old car on top of the house’s gates. Workers used several iron beams to secure the car in place,” Duc said, adding that he would not sell the car as the family wants to keep it for memory’s sake.
Several people stopped by to take photos of the car and post them on social media. However, some expressed concerns that the car may fall down and pose danger to people.
An official of the Long Binh Ward People’s Committee said they have requested local police to inspect the site. If bringing the car onto the gates goes against regulations and pose danger to people, authorities will demand it be taken down.
