Virat Kohli Breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s Huge World Record: In the three-match ODI series played between India and South Africa, the Indian team won the series 2-1. This is the 20th ‘Player of the Series’ award in Kohli’s career, while Sachin Tendulkar had won the honor 19 times in his entire international career. In this elite list, Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is at third place with 17 awards. After him, South Africa’s great all-rounder Jacques Kallis (14) and former Sri Lankan captain Sanath Jayasuriya (13) are at fourth and fifth position respectively.

Whereas Chris Gayle and Shaun Pollock have won this award 8-8 times.

In this innings, Kohli made an unbroken partnership of 116 runs in 84 balls for the second wicket with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (116*).
