Virat Kohli Struggles to bat, Flops Multiple Times in Net Practice

Before the 2nd test against Bangladesh, Team India had their first training session on September 25. All the team players were present at the practise session. While other opening batters were batting as well, the spotlight was set on Virat Kohli, who was seen struggling to have a decent impact in the 1st Test against Bangladesh. Kohli only scored 6 and 17 runs in the 1st Test.

Kohli was the fourth batter to join the nets, and initially had his focus on throwdowns but then joined his teammates for a small football session.

As the net session continued, Kohli challenged himself against Jasprit Bumrah. He was initially looking composed and confident, however, almost five minutes in his session he was quickly caught off-guard with an outswinger. Bumrah went on to outperform the star batter, dismissing him three more times.

After Bumrah, Kohli then turned to Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and R Ashwin. Kohli played a few defensive shots but fell short to Axar Patel’s bowling. Axar dismissed Kohli as he tried an aggressive shot, but entirely missed the ball which went straight through the middle stump. A couple minutes later, Ashwin also deceived Kohli, which brought his net session to an end.
