Unskilled workers will now get this much wages

On Thursday, the PM Modi-led government made a big announcement and significantly increased the minimum wage rates given to workers. According to PTI, while sharing the information about this decision of the government, the Labor Ministry said that the purpose of this decision is to help the workers amid rising inflation.

After the latest revision in minimum wage rates, the minimum wage rate in Sector A for unskilled workers like construction, cleaning, goods loading-unloading has been increased to Rs 783 per day and accordingly they will now earn Rs 20,358 every month.

These workers get more than Rs 26000 per month

After the new changes made by the government in the minimum wage rates according to different categories of workers, now the minimum wage rate for semi-skilled workers has become Rs 868 per day and they will get Rs 22,568 every month. If we talk about skilled workers, clerks and unarmed watchmen or guards, their minimum wages have gone up to Rs 954 per day.

According to this, now his monthly salary will be Rs 24,804 per month. At the same time, high skilled workers will now get Rs 26,910 every month, their minimum wage has been increased to Rs 1035 per day.

When will the increased rates be applicable?

After the announcement of increase in the minimum wage rates of the workers, in the statement issued by the Labor Ministry, it was said that the Central Government has amended this VDA in order to help the workers, especially the workers in the unorganized sector, in their livelihood. The new rates for workers will be effective from the 1st of the next month i.e. 1st October 2024 and they will be given benefits from April 2024. Here let us tell you that this is the second amendment of this year, before this changes were made in the month of April.
