‘Outside Gujarat and Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name has not only become known but also trusted and popular.’ This comment is not at all an exaggeration as the results of the assembly elections declared today are proof of this election. Once again Gujaratis have proved that BJP is actually a government of trust by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party with a majority. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s slogan, ‘trustworthy BJP government and double engine government’ has been proved true by the election results. However, this result can prove another thing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dominated the hearts and minds of the voters rather than the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates. The result of this assembly election is a new history for the Bharatiya Janata Party as well as a preview of the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, Tezzbuzz and Karnataka as well as the Lok Sabha 2024 elections. There is also a warning for rivals and an example for party workers.
From opinion polls, exit polls and tea kettles to high-level discussions in offices, the silent campaign of the Congress and the growing voice of the Aam Aadmi Party echoed. The Aam Aadmi Party has not been able to influence the implementation of the old pension system or the provision of free electricity as much as the influenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed 32 meetings and held three rallies in 1 month. Today, when the Bharatiya Janata Party has won 156 out of 182 assembly seats in the states, if we think about the reasons behind this victory, the most important reason will be found. It is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meetings and rallies.
In the photos, videos and posts that went viral on social media, sometimes the chairs were seen empty in the meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but now in the result only BJP candidates have been successful on every seat. Seeing the rallies, meetings and promises of Aam’s party across the state including Saurashtra Kutch, the Bharatiya Janata Party feared that voters might be attracted to the Aam Aadmi Party. Along with Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s silent campaigning and Bharat Jodo Yatra, it was seen that the Bharatiya Janata Party changed its strategy after the election was declared to win.
Bharatiya Janata Party in the state has young faces as well as new faces. A year and a half before this election, the entire government and cabinet were reshuffled. Each newcomer was given a position and a specific strategy was formulated to win the election. Seeing the increasing power of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in such micro planning of BJP, Narendra Modi himself entered the field for spreading propaganda through Bharatiya Janata Party. In one month, not one or two, but all 32 meetings and three Maharelios, the plan has gained a place in the hearts of the people of Gujarat. Valsad, Bhavnagar, Veraval, Dhoraji, Amreli, Botad, Surendranagar, Navsari, Jambusar, Mehsana, Dahod, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Palanpur, Modasa, Dehgam, Bavla, Netaranj, Kheda, Surat, Palitana, Anjar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Kalol, Meetings and rallies in Chotaudepur, Himatnagar, Ahmedabad, Kankrej, Patan, Sojitra have made Modi more Modi than Bharatiya Janata Party and today it is seen that Gujaratis have defeated Modi by defeating BJP.
Even the so-called intellectuals as well as common people in different areas of different cities of Gujarat when asked who they voted for sometimes they did not know about their local candidates but got the same answer from them that we voted for Modi. Hence, this victory seems to belong more to Narendra Modi and his name than to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Many constituencies considered as strongholds of the Congress have come under the sway of the Bharatiya Janata Party and especially the meetings and rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, although there are still some constituencies where even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi held meetings and appealed to the people, the voters remained somewhere raw in the reserve. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people on Kankrej, Patan, Jamalpur Khadia, Danilimda, Somnath and Waghodia seats, but his magic did not work on the people and these seats were won by AKP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party or SP. On the other hand, there may be a debate that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi had held meetings in Khambhat, Porbandar, Kutiana and Manavdar, then those seats could have gone to the BJP. Although BJP has won 156 seats and has set a record, it is true that some of the big leaders have faced defeat.
This glorious victory of BJP and Narendra Modi in the Gujarat assembly elections is not only a victory but also a foreshadowing for the upcoming assembly elections in other states like Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tezzbuzz and Chhattisgarh as well as Lok Sabha elections 2024. The fact that the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party dominated despite the BJP narrowly winning some seats can prove to be a lesson for the Bharatiya Janata Party and this glorious victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party is a big one for the Aam Aadmi Party, the Indian National Congress and other political parties. An example and a mirror are similar. Hence if other political parties can realize their mistake and formulate further strategy. However, the upcoming elections are likely to be more interesting.
