Why are you giving wrong signals? BCCI raised questions on KL Rahul’s fitness
KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining three Test matches against England. Devdutt Padikkal has been given a chance in his place. But before that he was kept in the Indian squad for the last three matches against England. Rahul has not fully recovered from his injury. According to a BCCI press release, the batsman was on the road to recovery and was 90 per cent fit and hence his name was not considered for the third Test.
Let us tell you that, the board said in a press release, Rahul has reached 90 percent match fitness and is making good progress under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. With the series tied at 1-1, Rahul will spend some more time at NCA Bengaluru and will probably return for the fourth and fifth Test. Having said that, it has angered some people.
A senior BCCI source told PTI on the condition of anonymity that KL Rahul has not yet reported to Rajkot. Local Ravindra Jadeja has been added to the team. It was always going to be a fitness issue and the board’s medical team is still not confident that he is match fit.
The senior BCCI official asked that, if the BCCI medical team already knew that Rahul’s squad injury was as serious as it appeared, then why was he included in the temporary squad in the first place. Why is the player sending wrong signals by posting videos of his batting on Instagram Stories?
