New Delhi: South superstar Ram Charan has apologized to Indian player Jasprit Bumrah. During a program on Saturday, he said something to the player for which he had to apologize for his mistake through social media.

Actually, the music launch program of Ram Charan’s upcoming film ‘Peddi’ was going on in Bhopal. After coming on stage, the host immediately started the question and answer session with him. Since Ram Charan is playing the role of a cricketer in the film, the host took the names of many Indian cricketers and asked for their opinion.

Ram Charan said beautiful and true things about Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, but when Jasprit Bumrah’s name came up, he made a mistake.

Ram Charan said, “Jasprit Bumrah ji, I am a big fan of yours. I love football and you are doing a lot to take football forward… Love you sir.” Actually, he mistook Bumrah for Indian football player Jasprit Singh. On hearing this, the entire hall laughed and the video immediately went viral on social media.

Ram Charan apologized

Ram Charan apologized to Bumrah on Facebook at midnight and wrote, “Oops… I sometimes forget the name. Sorry for the mistake Jasprit Bumrah ji. It was a human error amidst all the excitement and crowd. I respect you a lot and am a big fan of your game. When you push the batsmen on the backfoot, every Indian feels proud.” This apology message went viral and people praised Ram Charan’s honesty.

Movie ‘Peddi’ Release Date

In the film ‘Peddi’, Ram Charan will be seen in a double role, one a laborer and the other a player expert in cricket and wrestling. Jhanvi Kapoor is in the lead role with him in the film. Divyendu Sharma, Shiv Rajkumar, Jagapati Babu, Ravi Kishan and Boman Irani will also be in important roles. ‘Peddi’ is going to be released in theaters on June 4, 2026.
