Former England captain Kevin Pietersen suggested veteran batsman Virat Kohli to change his IPL franchise after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were ousted from the Indian Premier League, saying that he should join Delhi Capitals.

In their last match of the league stage, RCB’s team was defeated even after Kohli’s century. The team failed to defend a target of 198 against Gujarat Titans in a do-or-die match. Peterson tweeted, ‘The time has come for Virat to join the Delhi Capitals franchise.’

Former Indian skipper Kohli has been with RCB since the inaugural season of the league in 2008. He left this responsibility in 2021 after captaining the team for a long time.

Kohli played a memorable century against Gujarat. ‘King’ Kohli hit his seventh century in the IPL, the most by any batsman in the history of the league. However, his century went in vain as his team Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to Gujarat Titans in a crucial match.

Kohli broke Chris Gayle’s record of scoring most centuries in the Indian Premier League as soon as he scored his seventh century. He completed his century against Gujarat Titans in just 60 balls. This was Kohli’s second consecutive century this season.

His first century of the season came against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Virat first completed his half-century in just 35 balls and then after that he started thrashing the Gujarat bowlers. He completed his century in the next 25 balls. During this, he hit 13 fours and 1 brilliant six.
