World Chess Championship: Gukesh draws fourth game, series level 2-2

New Delhi, 29 November (HS). Indian Grandmaster D. Gukesh made a draw with the black pieces against China's Ding Liren in the fourth game of the World Chess Championship in Singapore on Friday.

In Game 4, Ding Liren started with the white pieces. Liren started Game 4 with a unique combination of opening moves after starting with the Zuckertort opening, which slightly stunned his young opponent Gukesh early in the game. But after 11 moves, Gukesh was already 13 minutes ahead on the clock than Ding Liren. This match ended in a draw in 23 moves. So far only Gukesh has achieved decisive results playing with white pieces.

Let us tell you that in Game 3, Gukesh defeated the world champion of China on time and leveled the score at 1.5-1.5.

This result ensured that the title match would be tied at 2-2 points. Both the teams will meet again for the fifth round on Saturday.

There will be a total of 14 rounds in this World Championship, in which the first player to reach 7.5 points will become the World Champion.
