It is also very easy to make. Often we like to make it on any festival. Even though we like Dahi Vada which is eaten with great taste, we have to avoid it many times. The only reason for this is that it is fried in oil. Nowadays, there are so many types of diseases, the most common of which is increased cholesterol. The reason for which is excessive use of oil, ghee etc. Now you will not have to worry about this.

We have brought for you an easy recipe of non-fried vada which will be delicious to eat and will not cause any harm to health.

Washed black gram dal – 250 gms

Green chillies – 3 to 4

Ginger – 1 to 2 inches

Roasted cumin seeds – half a teaspoon

Salt – as per taste

Asafoetida – half a teaspoon

a few pieces of ice

(Mix all the above ingredients together and make a fine paste. If it is not grinding well then add some ice cubes to it and make a fine paste. Keep in mind that water should not be used in this. Use ice cubes instead of water.)

Curd – half a kilo

Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp

Red chilli powder – half a teaspoon

Green coriander – finely chopped

Baking powder – one teaspoon

Take out this paste and keep it in a big vessel.

If you feel this paste is too thin then correct its consistency by using fine semolina in it.

Now after this keep it covered for ten minutes.

Add baking powder and black salt to it and whisk it well in one direction. Make sure that the air bubbles do not disappear.

Keep the batter thick otherwise the Dahi Vada will not turn out fluffy.

Now let's move towards the special step where we will not fry the Dahi Vadas in oil but will make them in a special way.

For this we will use Appam pan, in it we will just spray a few drops of oil and pour the vada batter in it and cover it.

We will cook it on low flame so that it gets cooked well from inside and we will reduce the flame of gas.

After some time, turn them over and let them cook from the other side.

When these Dahi Vada start turning slightly golden in colour then turn off the gas flame.

Non fried vadas are ready.

Once the vadas cool down, keep them in hot water for ten minutes.

The vadas will become very soft.

Take them out of the water and squeeze them gently.

Prepare the curd by beating it.

Put the vadas in curd and add black salt to it.

Let them remain immersed in curd for an hour.

Before serving, add roasted cumin powder, red chili powder and chopped green coriander to it.

Serve chilled.
