Youth strangled to death in Muzaffarnagar, acid poured on his face to erase identity, deceased youth was missing for 3 days

Jansath. A young man who was missing for 3 days from Gadhi village of the police station area was murdered, his dead body was found lying on the edge of a sugarcane field in the forest in the village itself. The face of the dead body was burnt with acid, so that the deceased youth could not be identified.

The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Javed (30) son Mehndi Hasan, a resident of Garhi village of Kotwali Jansath, went missing from home on Tuesday. When the villagers reached the field on Tuesday morning, they saw a dead body lying in the sugarcane field. Seeing the dead body, he informed the police and in the village.

Kotwali in-charge Dinesh Kumar reached the spot with the police. The body was identified as Javed alias Bhura s/o Mehndi Hasan. He was murdered by having his throat slit and his face was burnt with acid to hide his identity. The police sent his body for postmortem.

The relatives of the deceased told that he used to work as a laborer at a brick kiln near the village. Had disappeared from home since Sunday. They had also searched for him a lot, but could not find any trace of him. The reason for the murder could not be clarified.
