If you’re on your feet all day or you’re under a lot of stress or you have a medical condition called hyperhidrosis, you’re more likely to have sweaty feet. Due to sweat, your feet become moist and then bacteria start growing. Feet become smelly if sweat soaks into your shoes and your shoes do not dry before wearing them again.

Once you’ve taken off your shoes and put them in a warm, dark or damp place, bacteria can continue to grow. When you put on those same shoes the next day, even if you just took a shower, putting your feet in the same damp shoes will create the perfect conditions for bacteria to thrive in a warm, dark and moist place. Apart from excessive sweating, poor hygiene can also make your feet smell bad.

Mix baking soda with lukewarm water. Soak your feet in this water for 10 to 15 minutes. Doing this regularly for a few weeks will remove the bad smell. It keeps sweat levels normal and is also effective in controlling bacteria.
