Latest News :- National Intelligence Agency (NIA) officials have conducted raids in 6 states including Karnataka in connection with funding to Al-Qaeda terrorist organization. The intelligence department has warned that Al-Qaeda terrorists operating in neighboring Bangladesh are trying to establish a foothold in India and raise funds for Al-Qaeda in India. Regarding this case, National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials yesterday raided 9 places in 6 states Karnataka, West Bengal, Bihar, Tripura, Assam and Kashmir. Cell phones, laptops, computers and important documents were seized from the suspects.

NIA sources said: Al-Qaeda terrorists from Bangladesh are making serious efforts to attract Indian youth. They are collecting funds for Al-Qaeda in different states of India. In this connection, 12 terrorists were arrested in raids conducted across the country in 2023. Of these, 4 are from Bangladesh. It is being told that Al-Qaeda terrorists are infiltrating again from Bangladesh. Therefore, we have increased surveillance across the country.

Last Monday we conducted tests in 6 states including Karnataka. The house and shops of fruit seller Akhtar Ali of Siwan, Bihar were raided. Transfer of funds from Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh to the bank accounts of Akhtar Ali. We suspect that the Al Qaeda terrorist organization is involved in this. Important documents have been seized from his house. After document verification, Akhtar Ali and his two sons may be arrested. NIA sources said this.

Enforcement Department Investigation: Intelligence Department has informed that illegal money transfer is taking place between some individuals and companies of Bangladesh and India. According to this, Enforcement Department officials yesterday raided about 17 places in the state of West Bengal and Jharkhand. According to sources in the Enforcement Department, “During a raid conducted in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, 3 women from Bangladesh were found entering India illegally. They have entered Jharkhand through an agent from West Bengal. “His money transfer and background are being investigated.”
