Electric Vehicles: India towards green transport revolution, by 2030 Rs. EV market worth Rs 20 lakh crore



Electric Vehicle: Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta said on Friday that India stands at the peak of green transport revolution. He said the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market has a potential of Rs 20 lakh crore by 2030. The Union Minister of State was addressing a gathering at the 21st EV Expo at Tampa Bharat Pavilion on the occasion of the launch of Khalsa EV's new range of battery-powered three-wheelers. He said, “India stands at the cusp of a green transportation revolution. “The Indian electric vehicle market is expected to reach Rs. 2030 by 2030. Will reach to. 20 lakh crore, which will create five crore jobs in the EV ecosystem.

EVs are not just a mode of transportation

“Electric vehicles are not just a mode of transportation, they reflect our commitment to a sustainable and self-reliant future,” Tamata said. Said, “Our focus is on the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), which aims to achieve national fuel security by promoting hybrid and electric vehicles in the country.” Three-wheeler model L5 unveiled, codenamed 'Luca'. It is powered by a high-speed lithium-ion battery with a range of 200 km, a first in its category in India. This model will be available in both passenger and freight versions.

EV Expo going on at Pragati Maidan

The 21st EV Expo is currently being organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The program is being organized in hall numbers one and two. The expo was inaugurated by Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Corporate Affairs. Companies like Khalsa EV, CityUp, Tero Motors and Maxim E Vehicles have exhibited in this expo.
