Kangana Ranaut: Regretting directing 'Emergency', said – it was my mistake



Kangana Ranaut: Kangana Ranaut is in the headlines these days for her film 'Emergency'. During the promotion of the film, Kangana shared her experience and said that she regrets directing 'Emergency' and feels that the film should have been released directly on OTT. The lead role of the film as well as director Kangana Ranaut spoke openly about this.

Kangana said that there was a delay in the film getting the certificate from the Censor Board (CBFC), due to which she was worried. Kangana said, “I felt that the decision to release the film in theaters was wrong. I think I could have got a better deal on OTT and then I would not have had to face the problem of censorship.” According to Kangana, the censor board was repeatedly removing good scenes from the film, but she had to accept their demand to release the film.

Kangana further said that she took many wrong decisions while making the film. Kangana said, “I felt that I had taken wrong decisions at many levels. First, the decision to direct this film. I thought that even if there was no Congress government, I would still be successful by making a film on this crisis. Kangana also talked about the subject of the film and said that she had decided to make a film on Indira Gandhi, but no one had tried to make a film on her before.

'Emergency' will release on January 17

Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' is releasing in theaters on January 17. Kangana has played the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film. Apart from Kangana, the film also has prominent actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Ashok Chhabra, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair and Satish Kaushik.
