Before Karva Chauth, husband gave a priceless gift to his wife, saved his wife's life by donating her kidney.

The festival of Karva Chauth is special for every married woman. To celebrate this day, husbands give valuable gifts to their wives. Just before Karva Chauth in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan, a husband has given the gift of new life to his wife by donating a kidney.

Sania, wife of Imrozullah, resident of Jhalawar, was suffering from kidney disease for the last few years. Husband Imrozullah took Sania to Kota Medical College. After this, Imrozullah gave a new life and a lifelong gift to his wife by giving his kidney before Karwa Chauth.

Sania was undergoing treatment in the Nephrology department of Kota Medical College. A team of several doctors together performed the kidney transplant. Imrozullah is an architect and was married 12 years ago. they have two children. He decided to donate his kidney to save his wife's life.

This was the 13th kidney transplant at Kota Medical College. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Ashutosh Sharma said that under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana, all the necessary surgical items and medicines have been made available free of cost.
